Associate Pastors and Trustees

Greater Bible Way Temple’s Associate Pastors serve under the authority of Jesus Christ and leadership of Senior Pastor, Bishop Ira Combs Jr. They are godly men who are passionate about Jesus Christ and serving and uplifting His people.

Associate Pastor James Brown
Associate Pastor Brown was raised in the Apostolic Faith from a child. He received the call to ministry in 1996. He has served faithfully in ministry at Greater Bible Way Temple for the past several years and was promoted to the office of Associate Pastor in January 2006. His concept of the church’s mission is foremost the salvation of souls. In fulfilling his call, he also works with the Greater Bible Way Temple Chaplain Program and ministers in assisted living and nursing homes throughout southeast Michigan. In addition, Associate Brown serves on the church Altar Workers committee and teaches weekly at the Young Apostolic Students for Christ (YASC) campus ministry held at Michigan State University. A realtor by profession, he has assisted the people of God on many occasions with finding affordable, adequate housing. He and his lovely wife, Yvonne are the proud parents of six children.

Associate Pastor Gregory Crump
Associate Pastor Gregory Crump is a licensed Elder with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., and has been a faithful and committed servant at the Greater Bible Way Temple (GBWT) for more than 15 years. His willingness to help and be involved led him to the usher ministry where he ultimately became the Head Usher and for 2 years was the Head Usher for the Northern District Council Young People’s Union (NDCYPU). During this time with the NDCYPU he felt a call to the ministry and met his precious wife Kimberly. He has served as Vice Chairman of the GBWT Youth Department where he had a passion to see the youth excel spiritually and academically. To further develop youth, he taught weekly for the Young Apostolic Students for Christ (YASC) campus ministry held at the University of Michigan. He then served as a Trustee assisting with the financial matters of the church and teaching Stewardship classes to the congregation. He continues to teach Christian Education classes in order to help the people of God grow and develop in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Elder Crump also has a heart for the sick and shut-in. To fulfill this call he works with Kimberly to minister at a nursing home in Jackson, Michigan, and he works with the GBWT Chaplain Program to minister to residents in assisted living facilities and nursing homes in Southeast Michigan. In addition, he conducts services for the prison ministry and organizes others to minister in this capacity. Finally, Elder Crump believes that the foundation of his relationship with Jesus Christ is prayer, so he is actively involved in the prayer ministry.

Associate Pastor Maurice Fitzpatrick
Associate Pastor Maurice Fitzpatrick has been a faithful, steadfast member of the Greater Bible Way Temple for more than 20 years, moving to Jackson from Battle Creek, Michigan. He was baptized in Jesus Name in April 1983 and subsequently filled with the Spirit and has not looked back since. Associate Pastor Fitzpatrick has blessed the house of God with his many skills that include painting, carpentry, quality control, security, and maintenance. He currently oversees the Youth Department, Christian Education and Quality Control. He is the husband to Ella and both are very involved in many day-to-day church operations. With a heart for the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, he can be called upon day or night and willingly serves his Bishop and the people of God. They are the parents of two children.

Associate Pastor Dennis Treadway
Saved in his youth, Associate Pastor Dennis Treadway has remained steadfast in following the leadership of Bishop Combs. He has obediently assisted in the area of teaching sound doctrine when called upon by Bishop Combs, oversees church landscaping, is actively involved with the Youth and Men’s Ministries, and is Advisor to the Greater Voices Choir. With a professional background in Corrections Management, he also has responsibilities as an Institutional Training Officer and Substance Abuse trainer for residents. He has served in the capacity of Acting Chaplain and Sergeant. Associate Pastor Treadway also loves teaching biblical stewardship, as well as educating and providing information to individuals before making home investment decisions. Both he and his wife Lucinda serve in various ministry and administration capacities for the church. They are the parents of three adult children.
